12.Jerusalem

This embroidery of Jerusalem is based on a map that was drafted in the city of Tzfat in northern Israel in the 19th century. These maps that depicted the various holy sites were very popular.Here the Western Wall is shown, with the Mt. of Olives and other hills that surround the city in the background. In the foreground you can see some houses within the ancient city walls.
The kit is intermediate level, 30 by 40 cm. The design is hand-printed on off-white washable material, and comes with instructions and stitch diagrams, a needle and green, beige, brown, sky-blue, red and yellow embroidery threads.
